Swapping out the first dungeon
One of the main issues I've had with FS is that most people tend to lose interest by the first dungeon, or failing that a little bit further on.
That's understandable - that dungeon's a pretty generic cave, and doesn't do much to advance the plot any or loop back into the setting as a whole, and it's also fairly long for the very first thing someone new to the game would be doing. For this and some other reasons, I've torn that out, and replaced it with a much more thematically consistent one.
Another change is in the initial character creation: instead of choosing between four classes at the start, you'll instead be stuck with the Generalist class, which is decent with most equipment and has a wide variety of skills, but has mediocre stat growth. You'll have to wait a bit to create any other characters, but for the first stretch you'll have an extremely overleveled guide to help you along.
I've given a demo out for some people to test, but I'll be releasing it more generally at the end of this month. I've already found a whole raft of bugs with the uploaded demo, so it's been a boon in that regard, but between people finishing all the content available and getting something with a cleaner start out, I'll take the latter.
